Jennie L. Brown
Author, Workshop Director, Traveler
I am a transplanted Westerner, living and writing in Kentucky. I was born in the Black Hills of South Dakota and grew up on the windswept prairies of Wyoming. Before attending the University of Colorado, I worked as a bookkeeper, a bartender, and with a police department.
I taught writing in Colorado, California and Seattle before moving to Kentucky in 1991 to teach at Western Kentucky University. Eventually, I left teaching to have more time to write. I occasionally present writing workshop because I love to teach writing and enjoy the company of people who are interested in the craft.
Currently, I live in a cottage north of Bowling Green, Kentucky with a cat, a musician, and more books than I have time to read. At the moment, I’m working on a British mystery/police procedural novella (just because it’s fun) and–very slowly–writing a sequel to Nothing’s Ever Right or Wrong: A Novel.
